Is SimpliFly Right for You?
  • Dose Control/Feeding Practices
  • Location/Neighbors
  • Where do you stable your horses?

Dose Control
In order to achieve the best results with SimpliFly, each horse must receive one scoop per day (see label instructions for specific amount based on your horse'(s) weight). If you do not have the ability to control dosing, you will not achieve the maximum level of fly control. For example, if your horses are on pasture 100% of the time, you will not be able to ensure that each horse receives the appropriate dose . SimpliFly with LarvaStop is not formulated in a mineral block at the present time, so there is no convenient way to administer SimpliFly with LarvaStop to pastured horses.

Location/Neighbors
If your neighbor has livestock/horses and is not controlling his fly population, your pest management strategy may be compromised. By feeding SimpliFly to the horse(s) on your property, you will effectively control the development of immature flies; however, the adult flies from a neighboring operation can travel several hundred feet, thus re-infesting your stable area. As a result, you will not achieve the maximum level of fly control possible with SimpliFly.

Where you stable your horses
If all horses on the premises are not being fed SimpliFly, flies can and will breed in their manure.

In boarding stables, for example, there is no assurance that others will use SimpliFly. If you board your horse(s), SimpliFly with LarvaStop may not be the right solution for you unless you can mandate that all horses on the premises be treated.
